With MicroMD, there are eService partners and other third-party vendors that require secure connection to MicroMD. In order to provide that secure connection, you need to install the MicroMD SSL Web Services and the SSL certificate.
To use any of the secured web services, the client must meet the following requirements:
- Obtain a static IP address
- Purchase a domain name associated with static IP address
- Purchase an SSL certificate registered to domain name
- Allow the SSL port specified during the installation of MicroMD SSL Web Services through the client’s fire wall
- On the front end of the MicroMD Software Installation and Update digital media, click Extras.
- Click SSL WebServices Install.
- On the MicroMD SSL WebServices welcome window, click .
- Enter the appropriate port in the SSL Port field.
- In the SSL Certificate Install Type section, leave the Select SSL Certificate option chosen.
- From the Select SSL Certificate drop-down, select the certificate you want to install.
- Click .
- On the Setup Type screen, choose Complete and click .
- On the Ready to Install screen, click .
- Once the system completes the installation, click .
By default, the installation enters 9054.
You can use the Import SSL Certificate option to use a certificate file from another location.
The drop-down only displays files with the PFX extension.
